Yes, New Drum Percussion offers the possibility to return a product within 14 days from the date of purchase, provided that the item is intact, has not been used beyond what is necessary to check its condition, and, whenever possible, is returned in its original packaging.To start a return process, you must contact our customer service team and provide your order number along with the reason for the return.Refunds will be issued within 14 days after the returned product has been inspected and its condition verified.This policy allows us to ensure maximum customer satisfaction while preserving the integrity of the handcrafted instruments and materials we offer.

Compared to plywood shells, they use a significantly lower amount of glue, allowing the shell to breathe and resonate more freely, resulting in a focused tone and greater projection.

We build custom stave shells in any size and with a wide variety of wood species, including mixed combinations.

You can choose different types of finishes: from the most natural ones that leave the shell free to resonate, to highly durable finishes resistant to impacts and scratches. The latter are more expensive but provide a premium look and feel.

The main differences lie in the construction process and material choice.

Plywood shells are made by layering very thin sheets of wood bonded together with glue.

Stave shells, made from solid wood, are built from solid wood blocks glued together. They offer a more natural wood resonance, a focused tone, and greater projection.
Every drummer has a unique sound in mind, and this is the key factor when choosing the wood for your snare drum.

That’s why we offer a wide range of wood species. In addition to the most common ones (such as maple and birch), we also build stave shells from solid premium woods to bring the drummer’s desired sound to life.

Among the most common woods we use are: maple, birch, mahogany, cherry, and bubinga.
Some of the more premium species include ebony and zebrawood.
The type of wood used for the shell is a factor that influences the final sound, but it is not the only one. Also essential are choices related to:

shell thickness;

shell depth;

bearing edge;

drumhead selection.
Each choice affects the final result. Based on the sound you have in mind, we will guide you in selecting every feature and detail of your custom shell.
For your shell finish, you can choose: a custom design, a solid color finish in a color of your choice, or a clear finish.

We offer two types of clear finish: a more natural, generally matte finish that allows the shell to resonate more freely, and a more durable, glossy polyurethane-based finish that is resistant to impacts and scratches. It is more expensive but provides a premium look and feel.
